Benefits

A therapeutic massage is necessary maintenance for your body/mind, regardless of who you are and what you do for a living. Many people are not aware of the mental, physical, and emotional stress they endure until a breakdown occurs. This accumulation of stress may appear as a "dis-ease" or "dis-order" early or later in life. Many chronic conditions and "dis-ease" can be prevented with a sensible program of regular bodywork.

Massage can:

  • relieve stress
  • relax tight muscles
  • relieve muscle spasms and chronic pain
  • shorten recovery time after an athletic event
  • enhance athletic performance
  • clear trigger points (points of accumulated stress or weakness)
  • flush cellular waste and toxins (such as lactic acid)
  • strengthen the immune system
  • oxygenate muscles
  • stimulate circulation
  • calm the nervous system
  • increase flexibility
  • loosen the muscles prior to an athletic event
  • reduce swelling due to injury
  • remodel and speed healing of connective tissue (such as tendons)
  • energize and revitalize the whole body
